Payment

We take payment for the hire of the hat and deposit at the appointment. If your event is that week, the hat is taken with you, however if the hat is chosen a long time ahead of the event, we will schedule when to collect/post to you. On return of the hat, the hat must be in the same condition pre hire, this includes no damage to decorations, makeup marks or have got wet in the rain (it looses its shape instantly). once this has been checked and in perfect condition, your deposit will be returned, if the hat is not in the same condition your deposit shall not be returned

Returns

Each of our hats are hired on a 4 day basis.  For large Race meetings and due to popularity, the hats will be hired on a 2 day basis, unless specially requested for longer and agreed. This time allocation includes returning the hat to Charlotte's Finishing Touch. Upon return and checking thoroughly for any damage, makeup marks, exposed to rain your deposit will be returned.

Damage and loss

As per the waiver signed during your appointment - you will forfeit your deposit if the product is damaged or lost.

Group Appointments - 'Make A Day Of It'

We advise you bring your outfit/any accessories to your scheduled appointment. For group bookings of four or more, we require a deposit of £10.00 per person for the appointment. If you hire one of our products the £10.00 initial deposit will be taken off the deposit for the hat. If a product isn't hired your deposit will be forfeited. We will give you each a glass of prosecco whilst you try your outfits on.

I need the hat for a longer period of time

We need to be made aware of your intentions to keep the hat for a longer period of time prior to your appointment. In your initial enquiry, please state the extra length of time you need the hat for and we will try to accommodate your needs. If we are in a busy period such as wedding season/race meetings a small charge may be incurred.

Looking after the product

Each of our hats need to be cared for and looked after. Our hats are hired with 'care cards' which inform you exactly how to look after the hat you hire. Under no circumstances must they get wet as they completely loose their shape!
